Sarah Faye Montgomery

Sarah Faye Montgomery, 61, of Ringgold passed away after her 22-year long fight with cancer Monday, January 23, 2023. Sarah was born May 18, 1961 in Rossville. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and attended Rossville Church of Christ and Ringgold Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and building cars with her stepfather, John. More than anything, she loved spending time with and taking care of family.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley Stephens, Lynne and Estelle Whaley.

Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years, Deforest Montgomery; daughters, Laura (Kevin) Moore and Shaina (Michael) Johnson; siblings, Anita Beard, Donald Whaley, Sharon (Mark) Marcus, and Teresa (Mike) Glenn; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge in New Orleans.

The funeral home will not be receiving flowers, all flowers may be sent to Rossville Church of Christ. 

Family will receive friends 5 - 6:30 PM, Friday at Rossville Church of Christ with a memorial service following.
