John Massengale

John Anthony Massengale, 69, of Fort Oglethorpe passed away Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022. John was born April 7, 1953 in Chattanooga, TN to Stanley and Faye Jacobs Massengale. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia Area and was a member of Thompkins Lodge 466. He retired after 41 years of service from the United States National Guard.

He is preceded by his mother, Faye Massengale; brother, Bobby Massengale.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Brennan; father, Stanley Massengale; brother, Stanley Clay Massengale; nieces, Wendy (Donnie) Eaton, Misty (Chuck) Rogers, Carolyn Landers, Rose Berry; great nieces, Annaleigh Eaton and Ashley Rogers; sister in law, Patrice Landers; special friends, Nick (Monica) Gitgood, Tatum, Janice, Becky Griffith and several military brother and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor/SSG David Young officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:45 PM.
