Delores (Blakemore) Shaw

Mildred Delores Blakemore Shaw, 87, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was born October 12, 1934, to the late Frank and Gladys Haley Blakemore.

Delores was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Lions Club, and volunteered with hospices where she sewed and crocheted blankets. Delores was a charter member of the Walker County Home Demonstration Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Shaw, Sr., brother Harold Blakemore, and sister Barbara Phillips.

Survivors include sons Darryl (Sherri) Shaw and Tommy (Kim) Shaw, daughter Susan Shaw (Robin Duckett), brother James “Buddy” Blakemore, sister Jean Maynor, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carl Blackburn officiating. Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
