Barbara Ann Morgan

Barbara Ann Morgan, 74, of Ringgold passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home. Her precious dog, Sonatina also passed away the same day as Barbara. She was born on February 5, 1948 to the late James and Catherine Dills Morgan. Barbara began playing the piano at the age of 8 and played the piano and organ at the Pilgrim Congregational. She was minister of music for nearly 30 years and was the church choir master. Barbara had taught music and was a vocalist for 45 years and attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. 
 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Evelyn Dills Fowler; father, James Barney Morgan; uncle, Sam T. Dills and granddaughter, Trinity Amaris Morgan.
 
Survivors include her daughter, Nicole (Eric Bennett) Morgan; grandchildren, Christian (Devin Allen) Alexis Rhoads, Avery (Caleb Austin) Brook Bryant, Alexis Brooke Bennett and Taylnn Paige Bennett; great-grandchildren, Zaia Leigh McLin, Aiden Case Rhoads, Kenslie Faye Rhoads; aunt, Charlotte Dills; cousins, Reed and Jayme Dills, Michele (Scott) Hudson, Sam and Addie Dills, Lindsay and Riley Hudson; and her dog, Albia Jane.
 
A memorial service will be at 4 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel.
 
The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Monday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
